G.R.
Manufacturing, Inc. was founded in 1990 for the purpose of outfitting
John Deere Construction Equipment used in specialized applications.
These are primarily forestry, wildfire suppression, trash handling,
recycling and demolition. G.R.'s expertise is in outfitting
machines to work reliably in hot, harsh, dusty, dirty environments
and to protect the machines and operators from workplace hazards.
New
tractors are sent to the factory in Trussville, Alabama for outfitting
that includes comprehensive or complex installations; typically
governmental or military. "Kits" or standard products
are sent to Deere dealers for installation at the dealership.
Products include: operator and machine protection, cooling system
enhancement, fire suppression, low ground pressure (undercarriage)
conversions, mowing packages and auxiliary counterweights.
G.R.
has earned Deere's coveted "Partner" rating in the Deere
"Achieving Excellence" program in 1999, 2000 and 2001.
Also in 2001, G.R. was named "Supplier of the Year" for
Indirect Services to Deere's Dubuque, Iowa factory.
Today,
G.R. works with Deere's Agricultural and Commercial & Consumer
Products divisions as well as with Construction & Forestry products
division, which includes Timberjack. By utilizing the same "ProE"
solid modeling CAD software that Deere uses, we are able to achieve
high levels of integration between our product designs and Deere's
machines. Our manufacturing processes include a Trumpf laser burning
table and Pacific pressbrake - both computer controlled with direct
links to our integrated manufacturing software. Skilled welders
using fixtures and "tab and slot" designs insure product
quality and repeatability. Finally, a coating system involving surface
prep blasting, electrostatic painting and oven drying puts the finishing
touch on a product worthy to be used with a Deere machine.
